About The Bible Chronology

This website is an ongoing project to show different biblical timelines in relation to each other, to gain a better understanding of the narrative.

All information is based on the New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures & other literature by the Watchtower, Bible & Tract Society. Any errors shown on this website are of my own origination rather than that of the source material.

A variety of timelines are shown by default, these can be turned on & off using the checkboxes at the top of the page. Each timeline represents a study project that has been undertaken on a specific subject.

All dates shown are as accurate as the Bible record will allow. However in order to get a feel of the narrative flow, some dates have been inferred. For instance the killing of Abel by Cain has been inferred as 3900 B.C.E. All inferred dates are marked as ‘≈’ & the source material to support the inferral has been cited.

One final note, the ‘Daily Reading’ will allow the whole bible to be read in one year. The reading is organised chronologically where possible, although in some cases, one day’s reading may overlap with another. This is to allow the narrative to flow properly, to aid understanding. The time period for the reading of the day is shown on the timeline.
